Akins High School Eagles Take Over Chick-fil-A in South Austin

What happens when high school football, local business, and creative storytelling come together?

NVision Films and VC Photography linked up with the Akins High School Eagles and the Southpark Meadows Chick-fil-A for a team photoshoot and video production built around community, personality, and school pride.

From the Football Field to Chick-fil-A

For this production, the Akins Eagles stepped away from the football field and went behind the counter at Chick-fil-A.

The players took on different roles throughout the restaurant, interacted with the Chick-fil-A Cow, and brought their team energy into a completely different environment. The result was a fun visual story that showed more than uniforms, helmets, and game-day highlights.

It gave the players an opportunity to show their personalities.

The Track

The video runs on Chamillionaire and Paul Wall, "N Luv Wit My Money". A Texas classic, and the right call for this one.

The track set the tone on the day and carried straight through to the edit. It loosened the players up on set, gave them something to move to, and gave the finished piece a rhythm that feels local instead of staged. Cutting to it meant the pacing was decided before the first clip landed on the timeline — the edit follows the song rather than the other way round.

That is usually how it should work. Pick the music first and the footage knows where it is going.

More Than a Team Photoshoot

Traditional sports photography captures what athletes look like. Strong sports storytelling helps people understand who they are.

That was the goal behind this collaboration.

VC Photography captured the team through professional photography, while NVision Films produced the video that brought the experience to life. Together, the photos and video created a complete set of content for the athletes, the school, and the local community to share.

The Southpark Meadows location also gave us a recognisable South Austin setting that felt connected to the people involved. Instead of creating another standard football shoot, we built the production around an experience the players could enjoy and remember.

Connecting Athletes, Businesses, and the Community

Local collaborations like this can create value beyond a single post.

The athletes receive professional content that helps them build their visibility. The school gets a fresh way to represent its program. The business becomes part of a positive community story. Most importantly, audiences get to see the real people behind the jerseys and logos.
