Inside Spokane’s Cannabis Industry: Filming Episode 1 of Cannalife Culture

NVision Films headed to Spokane to meet Cannalife Culture owner Ricky Garza and film Episode 1 of Cannalife Culture, a new series built around conversations, education, and a closer look at the cannabis industry.

For the first episode, we wanted to go beyond the storefront and hear directly from people who understand the industry from the inside.

Inside the Dispensary

One of the main focuses of Episode 1 is how dispensaries actually operate.

For people outside the industry, a dispensary can look like a straightforward retail business. Behind the scenes, there is a much bigger story involving the people, products, processes, and culture that keep everything moving.

The episode gives viewers a closer look at that environment while allowing the people working in cannabis to explain it from their own perspective.

Cannabis Facts and Industry Voices

Cannalife Culture is also about creating space for real conversations around cannabis.

During the shoot, Ricky and the team spoke with people from inside the industry about their experiences, what they have learned, and some of the facts people may not know about cannabis.

Rather than approaching the subject from the outside, Episode 1 puts industry voices at the center of the story.

Spokane and a Growing Cannabis Culture

Spokane is part of the story too.

The episode looks at how both the city and its cannabis industry have grown, giving viewers a sense of the community surrounding the businesses and people working in the space today.

That connection between a city, an industry, and the people helping shape both became an important part of what we wanted to capture.

Building Cannalife Culture

Episode 1 sets the foundation for what Cannalife Culture can become.

It is part education, part conversation, and part behind-the-scenes look at an industry that continues to evolve. Most importantly, it gives the people inside that world an opportunity to tell their own stories.

For NVision Films, that is what made this project interesting to capture: getting into the environment, meeting the people, and building an episode around perspectives viewers may not normally get to hear.
